Allergan, Inc., with headquarters in Irvine, California, is a global specialty pharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes innovative products for the eye care, neuromodulator, skin care and other specialty markets. Allergan employs 5,000 staff globally and has a turnover of $1.7 billion.

Logistics Solutions Europe were awarded a 9 month Consultancy assignment to outsource the entirety of the European Supply Chain Operations. The operations, which comprised of over 15 warehouses across Europe were all owned and operated by Allergan Inc. As a result of an extensive tender process the entirety of the operations were outsourced to two Third Party Logistics Providers. L.S.E. then continued its involvement with Allergan Inc by implementing the new European Logistics strategy which resulted in the closure of all domestic warehousing and distribution operations and the start up of two Regional European Distribution Centres. In conjunction with the new logistics strategy Allergan Inc implemented SAP across the European region and created interfaces to the 3PL WMS systems.

As a result of the involvement of Logistics Solutions Europe Ltd, costs were reduced by 20%, service levels were increased to a next day service across Europe and inventory levels were reduced by 36%.
