The Littlewoods Group of Companies comprises of Littlewoods Home Shopping, Index Stores, Littlewoods Stores and Shop Direct Group. The Group has a turnover of £4 billion, employs 50,000 staff and is the UK’s leading catalogue company.
Logistics Solutions Europe Ltd were awarded an Interim Executive Management assignment to outsource the Groups Inbound Supply Chain operations and to subsequently project manage the transition to a new supplier.
For over 28 years the Littlewoods Group of Companies had used the same Inbound Supply Chain supplier. Following an intensive tender process within the UK and the Far East a new supplier was selected.
During an intensive six month period the new Supplier solution was implemented across all Business Units within the Group and new interfaces were created with the new Supplier to enable the exchange of Purchase Order information and Shipping Advice Notification.
