Case Study | Major Retailer South East Asia
With an increasing presence within South East Asia this leading retailer looked to review their Supply Chain strategy to facilitate future growth in the region.
Following a review of the current operations a strategy was developed to create a new Distribution Centre in China to provide an infrastructure for locally sourced general merchandise throughout the China region.
Research into local 3PL capability led to an outsourcing process and the operation was subsequently awarded to a local 3PL. The new distribution centre base in Shanghai will provide over 50 retail units throughout China with bi-weekly deliveries of general merchandise products.
